The artwork is inspired by the solitude of Vladimir Tatlin, a prominent Russian artist and architect, known for his utopian approach to art and architecture, particularly his unrealized project, the Tatlin Tower. Tatlin’s influence is reflected in this painting through the fusion of organic forms and abstract structures that evoke his vision of building the future, but also the disillusionment and isolation that came with the impossibility of realizing his architectural dreams.

The central pig could represent the distortion of ideals, decadence, or personal sacrifice tied to Tatlin’s frustration at not seeing his ambitions fully realized. Behind the animal, the buildings or structures echo the constructivist and architectural forms for which Tatlin was famous, but here they appear deformed and chaotic, reflecting an internal struggle or personal collapse.
